had a hand out which covered what he felt was the proper outlook and taught
plate tectonics as an alternative explanation. This was before the wonder
of GPS positioning and localized beacons and small portable atomic clocks.

I'm still working as a geoscientist but nearly all environmental now
instead of Petroleum Exploration and Production or Coal Bed Methane.

I spend the winters in the Sonora Deserts add to my mineral collection,
summer adding to my mineral collection some place cool. This winter at home
we have had lots of rain, exposing all sort of new minerals and washing
down gold... I might do a little panning this summer when as the creeks
recede. I now of a few places where I person could dig slice and pan out an
ounce of better on a good day.

I still check from weekly and miss the old days. I still collect sand from
stream beds too. Amazing to see sands as a collection from everything
upstream.

Because they see hot stuff coming out of a volcano, they speculate
that the inner core of the earth is molten and fail to realise that
the heat that is required is generated at a point more close to the
surface..

The word is forté. it requires no "S" on the end you blithering idiot. And
while you think you are smart the word when referring to a male which has

Now just to remind you when I took geology classes plate tectonics was the
alternative explanation. Those which thought outside the box, like my
instructor found plate tectonics the reasonable explanation with his
expertise and data I decided to go against the flow. Time justified both of
my instructor and I.

Expanding Earth was always considered nothing but worthless nonsense
pseudo-science with Zero observable evidence or data to support it. It
never went from the point of worthless speculation because has no
observable evidence. Just the opposite, there is a 100% preponderance of
evidence which supports plate tectonics.

Consider the point plate tectonics was put forth as a evidence based
explanation in 1912 by Wegener and it wasn't until the spreading ridge in
the Atlantic Ocean was discovered in the middle of WW2 that a reason
mechanism was put forth. Still the issue was subject to debate and in 1956
two major papers were published with newly discovered data. It wasn't until
Last of the 1960 that the evidence was deemed to be overwhelmingly in favor
of plate tectonics.

There is zero observed evidence nor is there any data to support the
speculation of an expanding earth. What's more there is enough evidence and
data to support the plate tectonic, the evidence of the spreading mid ocean
ridges, plus the plate boundaries like in the Pacific Northwest subduction
zone which shows how one plate can override another plate, and that
explains much of the volcanic activity Pacific Northwest and the hotspot
under Yellowstone's super caldera. Where the subducted plate hits the
basalt base of the Rocky Mountains.
There is nothing wrong with Wikipedia, and I used to write and edit a few
articles. The demand for references is growing and I like that. It has
become a true encyclopedia reference.

An illustration is not, but is not evidence or data. It might be used as a
way to convey a concept, but it is not in and of itself evidence or data.
The constant lack of any possible mechanism for an expanding earth is what
causes it to be nearly universally rejected by people with just a little
bit of solid knowledge..

Can can recall watching tv when I was little and the old Elmer Fudd

As it is,the spell checker in the latest version of this OS corrects my
spelling before I finish typing the word and also attempts to read my mind by
changing words to something else based on what the computer decided I wanted
to say. Sounds a little paranoid, doesn’t it?

Now just to remind you when I took geology classes plate tectonics was
the
alternative explanation. Those which thought outside the box, like my
instructor found plate tectonics the reasonable explanation with his
expertise and data I decided to go against the flow. Time justified both
of
my instructor and I.
Expanding Earth was always considered nothing but worthless nonsense
pseudo-science with Zero observable evidence or data to support it. It
never went from the point of worthless speculation because has no
observable evidence. Just the opposite, there is a 100% preponderance of
evidence which supports plate tectonics.
Consider the point plate tectonics was put forth as a evidence based
explanation in 1912 by Wegener and it wasn't until the spreading ridge
in
the Atlantic Ocean was discovered in the middle of WW2 that a reason
mechanism was put forth. Still the issue was subject to debate and in
1956
two major papers were published with newly discovered data. It wasn't
until
Last of the 1960 that the evidence was deemed to be overwhelmingly in
favor
of plate tectonics.
A good place to read about the subject is the wiki page it is well
referenced material, and is slanted towards a person with about 5th
grade
reading level. It also has picture for people like you Carole with sub
Grade 5th read reading comprehension.
