I saw that too. It's about time they pulled it off the shelves. Back when
my kids' teethe were coming in I just let them chew on a wet washcloth or
those gel filled rings that you put in the freezer. It worked. No drugs
involved.

Belladonna is a powerful drug. The dose is computed by body mass. An active
drug, the dose is so small that 6C tables given too often make an overdose.
The state poison centers report at least one call per week and IIRC the CDC
stated there was several deaths per year.

The several companies that manufacture homeopathic medicines have been
caught with so sloppy manufacturing processes, that some of the bottles
contain no homeopathic remedy, and other would receive 3-5 times the dose
on the bottle. With a real drug like belladonna extract, a baby could
receive an fatal overdose with one table with 3 times the amount of
belladonna as stated on a 6C bottle.
