I submitted my geophysics Ph.D. thesis for examination at the end of January
so it looks possible that I will finally graduate this spring. After my oral
defence, which will probably be around the end of March, I may reduce my
medication slightly but won't come off it entirely since it is two sunspot
cycles since my worst year of 1996. And for any new readers who haven't
checked it out before, my Salmon on the Thorns web page
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html describes my most powerful mystic
experience: my naked sun stare, thorn hill climb, and blue rose vision of
early September, 1991, which was almost 2.5 sunspot cycles ago.

Contrats on having completed the requirements for your degree and your
pending graduation, David. Keep us posted on your employment
prospects.

No disrespect intended, but I prefer salmon on my grill. :-)
