Trump administration’s vow to tackle corruption in Big Pharma.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/17/paul-ryan-picks-fight-donald-trump-big-pharma-dont-speak-like-generally/

"Trump promised during his press conference in New York City at Trump
Tower last week to reform the pharmaceutical industry to ensure proper
bidding procedures take place—among other reforms to the major
industry—moving forward."

“We have to get our drug industry coming back,” Trump said at the
press conference. “Our drug industry has been disastrous. They’re
leaving left and right. They supply our drugs but they don’t make them
here, to a large extent. And the other thing we have to do is create
new bidding procedures for the drug industry, because they’re getting
away with murder. Pharma has a lot of lobbies, a lot of lobbyists, a
lot of power. And there’s very little bidding on drugs. We’re the
largest buyer of drugs in the world, and yet we don’t bid properly.
We’re going to start bidding. We’re going to save billions of dollars
over a period of time.”

Later, in an interview with the Washington Post, Trump doubled down on
his criticisms of Big Pharma. “They’re politically protected, but not
anymore,” Trump said in that interview of drug companies.

Trump’s comments sent the pharmaceutical industry, according to
Fortune Magazine, into a financial tailspin. So naturally, Ryan–the
donor class’s representative in Washington–rode into the rescue and to
fight Trump."

Nonsense.
Trump is an idiot.
Bidding requires two parties and usually drive up the price.
Specific drugs are generally made by one manufacturer. It would require
breaking patent laws to have two manufacturers. That's not going to happen.

Trump has never successfully had a business. Everything he built eventually
goes broke. He is an over leveraged failure leaving unpaid bill and broken
contract behind him.

As an aside, bankruptcy in the USA is a legal status, where a debtor (an
individual or other entity) who is not able to repay debts owed to
creditors seeks the protections afforded by the bankruptcy code via
application with the U S Bankruptcy Court.

Bankruptcy is often associated with a failure to correctly forecast
revenues as well as spending or borrowing beyond reasonable expectations
of revenues.

Chapter 7 of the bankruptcy code is a basic liquidation for individuals
and businesses. Assets are sold and the proceeds are applied to reduce
the debts. Any remaining debt after liquidation is discharged. In many
cases creditors recover less than the amounts they were owed.

Chapter 11 involves financial reorganization which typically allows
debtors to continue operating while they follow debt repayment plans.

There is a bankruptcy code in Oz.

studies are done and the ones that show favourable results are picked.

"As a physician, I believe that Trump is absolutely right about
allowing cheaper pharmaceutical drugs manufactured abroad to be sold
in the United States. He is right that the pharmaceutical companies
essentially sell their products to the federal government via Medicare
and Medicaid without competitive bidding. In other areas of the
budget, such as defense, federal laws require competitive bidding. It
is outrageous this doesn’t occur with drugs and devices, especially
since the health care budget is right behind defense in terms of
expense."

That describes everybody bob.
I've been sucked into things in the past, going along with things
instead of thinking for myself. One was I got sucked into the "born
again" religion when I was in my teens, but the good thing about that
is I know how they think now. Now I see how all religion is manmade
and a load of garbage.

Another thing is the Azaria Chamberlain case, where a dingo took the
baby while the parents were on a camping holiday in outback Australia.
There were so many people saying Lindy killed the baby and she had
evil eyes etc. I took me a while to finally come to my own decision on
that one, and that you can't convict a person based on their "evil
eyes" or any other non-scientific indications. These people saying
that were idiots.

There have been other similar incidents that made me learn to think
for myself.

I go along with Trump.
He might make mistakes but not as many as some others.
And he's not beholden to corporations who pay for his campaigning.
At the least I think Trump will bring back some wealth to the middle
class of America and create more jobs.

Some things I don't go along with is his pro-life stance or his
pro-Israel stance. I like his closed borders mentality, unlike the
globalists who want one world government and terrorists flooding every
country. Its early days - give him another week or two.
